Privacy Policy

Last updated: July 10, 2026

This site, thatmikehamilton.com ("the site"), is operated by Mike Hamilton in Waco, Texas. This policy explains what information the site collects, why, and what choices you have. I keep data collection to the minimum needed to run the site and reply to you.

Information you give me

Contact form

When you use the contact form, I collect the name, email address, subject and message you submit. I use this information for one purpose: to read and respond to your message. I do not sell it, rent it, or add you to a marketing list without asking you first. Contact-form submissions are transmitted over an encrypted (HTTPS) connection and processed by the site's hosting provider, Cloudflare, on my behalf.

Newsletter

When you sign up for the Seasoned.Tech newsletter, I collect your email address and use it for one thing: to send you the weekday newsletter. I don't sell or rent it. Every issue includes an unsubscribe link, and you can opt out at any time. Your address is stored securely by the site's hosting and email infrastructure (Cloudflare) solely to deliver the newsletter you asked for.

Tool-specific data (Second Brain and other apps)

Some tools linked from this site — such as Second Brain (secondbrain.thatmikehamilton.com) and other products under the "Things I've Built" section — are separate applications that may require an account and may store the content you put into them. Those tools are governed by their own terms and privacy notices shown within each app. Where a tool stores your content, it is used to provide that tool's features to you and is not sold. If you have a question about how a specific tool handles your data, contact me and I'll tell you exactly how it works for that tool.

Information collected automatically

Like most websites, the site's hosting and security provider (Cloudflare) automatically processes limited technical data — such as IP address, browser type, and pages requested — to serve the site, keep it secure, and protect against abuse. This is standard server and security logging. The site itself does not set advertising cookies and does not sell your data.

Analytics: If privacy-friendly, aggregate analytics are enabled, they are used only to understand overall traffic (for example, which pages are popular) and are not used to identify you personally.

Cookies

The site uses only the cookies necessary for it to function and to keep it secure. It does not use third-party advertising or cross-site tracking cookies. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings; essential functions may not work correctly if you do.

Third-party links

The site links to external services such as YouTube, LinkedIn, Facebook and various projects. Once you follow a link, you're on that company's site and subject to their privacy practices, not mine. I encourage you to review their policies.

How long I keep information

I keep contact-form messages only as long as needed to handle your inquiry and any follow-up, then delete them. Newsletter and tool data are retained under the respective provider's policies for as long as you remain subscribed or hold an account.

Your choices and rights

You can ask me to access, correct, or delete the personal information you've shared through the contact form. Depending on where you live (for example, under GDPR or the CCPA/CPRA), you may have additional rights over your personal data. To make a request, use the contact form and tell me what you'd like done.

Children

This site is intended for a general, adult audience and is not directed to children under 13. I don't knowingly collect personal information from children.

Changes to this policy

I may update this policy as the site and its tools change. When I do, I'll revise the "Last updated" date above. Significant changes will be noted on this page.
